• As otherwise described in this Privacy Policy; and
• As otherwise permitted or required by law.

In certain circumstances personal information may be collected, used or disclosed without the consent of the family or guest. For example, legal, medical or security reasons may make it impossible or impractical to seek consent.
In order to properly service, meet the needs of and ensure the safety of our guests, we must collect certain personal information about them and/or their families (if minors). We do this on our application form and other such forms as:

• Workshop Contract (or any event hosted by us)
• Parental Permission Form

• Other forms as determined by us or legally required under Canadian Federal and/or Provincial law

All of the information gathered form the above forms, as well as information gathered from telephone or personal conversations, is stored in our files, which are in a secure database with access controls.

Disclosure Of Personal Information

We may need to disclose some personal information we collect to third parties and staff members who are directly involved in providing services to you or your child, or as required by law.

We do not sell or rent your family information to any company, person or organization. Even when asked for any personal information of a guest family by other guest, we will not provide them with any information without first asking for consent from the guest about which the information was requested.

Accuracy Of Personal Information

It is important that your personal information is accurate and complete. Having accurate information about you enables us to give you the best possible service. You have the right to access, verify and amend the information we have about you. We rely on you to keep us
informed of any changes, such as a change of address, telephone number, and the health of your child or any other circumstances.

You have the right to access your personal information that we have in our possession. On written request to our Privacy Information Officer, you will be informed of the existence, use and disclosure of your personal information that is under our control, and may be given access to that personal information as required and permitted by law. You are entitled to challenge the accuracy and completeness of that personal information and request that it be amended, if appropriate.

Safeguarding Your Personal Information

We employ physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect our systems and all personal information under our control against unauthorized access and use. All safety and security measures are appropriate to the sensitivity level of the information collected.

Promotional Materials

From time to time we will have a photographer or videographer present at our events, to shoot marketing materials such as photos of the event, the food prepared, guests in action, etc. This is often the case with a new event, such as a Workshop on a culture or dish that we haven't previously covered. Also, again on an ad hoc basis, we might have a journalist, blogger, or similar present at an event for publicity and media awareness purposes.

Your personal image release & consent will be requested before any event that has a promotional materials aspect.
If you do not wish to be on-camera (still or video) we will make certain to not release or use your image. The photographer/videographer will still do their work but we will identify you to them as not having given consent. If you are included in an image by accident or the simple nature of the shot then we will either 1) Not use that image/file, or 2) Crop you out of the frame. Either way, your privacy and right to control your image will be respected.
