Just Be Cooking is excited to welcome back Master Chef Jean Regis, owner of Le Baratin , for a fun and interactive French Dessert making class!
Jean will teach you everything you need to know to make Classic French Lemon Tarts.
Jean's culinary journey originated in the centre of France where he acquired 3 diplomas in French cuisine and a certificate in gastronomic excellence, working in top restaurants around Europe before landing in Toronto 8 years ago. Today he is the owner and chef of Le Baratin. Voted Best French Restaurant in Toronto for 2018 by NOW Magazine, Le Baratin's goal is to make the French food experience approachable and affordable, serving up a menu of wholesome bistro fare.
A light dinner will be served at the end of the class prepared by the chef. And for dessert? French Lemon Tarts of course!
A live musical performance by local French musicians will also accompany the dinner.

Originally from St. Catharines, Anna comes from two cultural backgrounds: her mother is from France and her father is Romanian. With French being her first language, she's been discovering that her musical sound is gravitating more toward French music, especially the style of French classics. She has been a part of local music shows in Hamilton with Soul House Live, as well as being part of the TEDx Trinity Bellwods in Toronto last year.
Each workshop lasts approximately 3 hours. This includes the Cooking Class, Communal Meal and Live Music. We always start on time so make sure to give yourself some extra time for parking, walking over, etc.
FOUR different desserts from FOUR different cultures will be learned by the end of the month! Printed recipes will be provided as well as leftovers to take home and of course memories to last a lifetime.
