French Pastry Workshop with LIVE Music!

Overflowing with the most delicious sweet treats around every corner, it is just too hard to resist not getting your daily flaky melt-in-your-mouth pastry fix when in France. So we've decided to bring France to you!

In this hands-on workshop, French trained pastry chef Antonin Lapleau will share his years of tips and tricks for making the perfect versatile Pâte à Choux pastry, the foundation for éclairs and delicious filled profiteroles (cream puffs) to name just a few.


We’ll start the Pâte à Choux pastry class with fresh baguettes and butter, then dive into learning how to make the perfect choux.

Working together in teams of two, you'll learn:

  • How to make the Pâte à Choux pastry
  • How to use the piping bags
  • How to make the traditional Chantilly cream filling from scratch
  • How to fill and assemble the pastries

A communal meal follows where Anton will serve traditional French quenelle with sauce and side salad, a beloved childhood dish of his. And for dessert? Pâte à Choux of course! Guests will also enjoy a LIVE performance by Mélyssa Rose from French jazz band Minuit à Paris, a mix of traditional jazz with a touch of Edith Piaf. Now what could be better than this?

A French Pastry Chef, Antonin started to study the art of pastry making in 2010 in France. He has worked with renowned pastry chefs from Nadege Pâtisserie, Pascal Caffet and Franck Fresson. Since discovering Toronto in 2012, his goal was to come back to this great city. That became reality in 2016 and he returned for another year of experience at Nadege Pâtisserie. He is currently one of the pastry chefs at the Toronto based French bakery cafe Bonjour Brioche.
A modern, stylish event space for workshops, corporate events, catering & special occasions.  Run by Vanessa Yeung, this lovely venue is tucked in behind off Weston Rd. The older exterior does not do the inside true justice - it is a delight, easily fits 25 guests and has excellent acoustics for live music.
Minuit à Paris are a professional French jazz band based in Toronto led by the talented Mélyssa Rose. Originally from France, Mélyssa came to Toronto in 2016 after one year stop in New York City. She met Kevin Barrett, a great Canadian guitarist and the talented Portuguese Accordionist Louis Simao. The collaboration of these 3 passionate musicians, perfect picture of Toronto melting-pot became "Minuit à Paris" a mix of traditional jazz with a touch of Edith Piaf. Let’s go to Paris!
