Konekt Polish Pierogi-Making Workshop

Workshop Description:

In this fun, hands-on workshop, Maria Rozynska leads you through the process of kneading & rolling, filling & shaping, boiling & frying homemade pierogi from scratch. You’ll start the Pierogi class with fresh bread and butter then dive into working with two types of traditional fillings including:

  • Farmer's cheese with potato
  • Fresh Prunes for dessert

Our fillings consist of just the various vegetables, fruit or dairy ingredients. There are no meat products included.

Maria will demonstrate the making of the dough, then provide individual amounts for each person to work with. She will provide pre-made fillings, tips and tricks and together we will make trays of pierogi, fit for a king or queen!

Singing while making food, or indeed during any work, is a deeply Polish tradition so while we work Maria will sing a traditional folk song or two!

The workshop finishes with a communal meal where guests will get to try their creations in class with a sour cream and warm caramelized onion topping.
