In this fun, hands-on workshop, Maria Rozynska, founder and owner of Just Be Cooking,leads you through the process of kneading & rolling, filling & shaping, and boiling & frying homemade pierogi from start to finish.


You’ll start the Pierogi class with a warm borscht broth, then dive into learning how to make several traditional fillings including:

Mushrooms with Sauerkraut & Onions
Farmer's cheese with potato
Fresh Prunes

* No meat products included.

Maria will demonstrate the making & kneading of the dough, then provide individual amounts for each person to work with. She will provide fillings, tips and tricks and together we will make trays of pierogi, fit for a king or queen!

Singing while making food, or indeed during any work, is a deeply Polish tradition so while we work Maria will sing some traditional Polish folk songs she grew up with.

TICKET B: $25 (tax included) - Includes Communal Meal + Live Traditional Singing (Guests arrive for 8:00PM. Meal around 8:15PM)

There is a 50% charge for cancellations within 24 hours of the workshop date.


The workshop finishes with a communal meal where you’ll get to try all your creations in class with a sour cream and warm caramelized onion topping. Extra Polish side dishes pre-made by Maria are also served and guests will be taking their own pierogi home (if you can resist eating them on the way 😉


Singing is a deeply Polish tradition so while guests eat Maria will sing some traditional Polish folk songs she grew up with.


Each workshop lasts approximately 3 hours. This includes the Cooking Class, Communal Meal and Live Performance. We always start on time so make sure to give yourself some extra time for parking, walking over, etc.

Founder and owner of Just Be Cooking, Maria Rozynska grew up in a Polish household observing her mother, grandmother and great grandmother knead, roll, shape, mallet and whisk consistently yummy Polish cuisine picking up generations of knowledge and recipes. They were the recipes worth talking about and ones Maria wanted to spread. Through her cultural cooking school Just Be Cooking, Maria now teaches others how to make traditional Polish food, while inviting other cultures to do the same in order to keep alive family recipes and traditions which may be losing their traditional roots with the passing of older generations. Her workshops include a fun communal meal plus Live traditional music! Her commitment is simple: Together we will break down barriers by coming together in food and song in order to touch and transform as many lives as we can.


Guests are welcome to include all their pierogi into the communal pot, or take some home with them.

In the spirit of being green, please bring containers for leftovers. We can also package.

A light snack is provided upon guests arrival, in addition to the full meal we will enjoy at the end of the class.
