You’ll start the Master Class with a glass of red or white wine then gather around Pascal's kitchen table to learn tips and tricks on how to cook ingredients from start to finish. Guests are encouraged to participate but if sipping wine and observing is your thing, we encourage that too 😉

A communal meal follows, with extra side-dishes made by Pascal. Guests will enjoy a LIVE performance by Mélyssa Rose from French jazz band Minuit à Paris. They  play mix of traditional jazz with a touch of Edith Piaf. Let's go to Paris!

Classic French music with scrumptious French food made by you - what could be better?

Cooking since he was 14, Geffroy spent years managing kitchens in Nyons and Rhône before moving to Toronto six years ago after falling in love with the city during a visit here with a friend. Upon arriving he was sous chef to Didier Leory at his restaurant, Didier, followed by three years cooking with Jean-Jacques Texier, the original owner of Batifole, before becoming the head chef at Papillon on Front St. When Texier decided to sell his baby, Geffroy took the opportunity and has been running Batifole restaurant since 2013.

"I want to keep the idea of Batifole,” he says. “People like it and I don’t want to change it, but now it’s me. The spirit of the house will live on, very casual, not pretentious, and good food. This is my priority."

Minuit à Paris are a professional French jazz band based in Toronto led by the talented Mélyssa Rose. Originally from France, Mélyssa came to Toronto in 2016 after one year stop in New York City. She met Kevin Barrett, a great Canadian guitarist and the talented Portuguese Accordionist Louis Simao. The collaboration of these 3 passionate musicians, perfect picture of Toronto melting-pot became "Minuit à Paris" a mix of traditional jazz with a touch of Edith Piaf. Let’s go to Paris!
