Cancellation by you
Life happens and things get the the way. If you need to cancel a booking, or simply cannot attend, then we have 3 options:
1. Refund the Ticket Price
The refunded amount depends on how late in the process we are cancelling your booking.
All payments in must be in $CAN.
When your booking is complete you will receive an confirmation email. This is your booking confirmation. Should there be any problem with your payment we will email you promptly.
48 hrs+ before the event start time
100% refund of the ticket price plus fees.
24-48 hrs: before the start time
24 hrs less before the start time*
These time frames are very fair; however, they are not open to negotiation. In the event of any dispute over the timing of a cancellation, we will go by the time stated in our woocommerce platform. Refunds will be rounded down to the nearest dollar.
Mary, John and Michael have individual bookings for a pierogi workshop on Monday @ 7:00 PM. Each ticket cost $50. For simplicity lets say no fees attached.
Mary cancels at 6:00 PM on Saturday.
She gets a 100% refund = $50 (she cancelled more than 48 hours before the start time).
John gets distracted by something shiny and cancels his booking at 7:01 PM on Saturday.
John gets a 50% refund = $25 (he cancelled with 48 - 24hrs before the event).
Michael discovers Game of Thrones and binge-watches 6 seasons over the entire weekend. He decides to binge further and watch season 7 (instead of learning how to feed himself and others at a delightful pierogi workshop, tsk, tsk) so he cancels his booking at 8:00 AM on Monday.
Michael gets 0% refund = $0
(8:00 AM is 11 hours prior to the start time of 7:00 PM).
2. Reschedule to a new workshop:
This is also affected by how late we are in rescheduling - whether there is an available workshop to actually reschedule to, with spaces, and if there is a difference in cost between the two events that must be paid.
Essentially, it is determined by the practical realities of what is available to reschedule to, so it is in no way guaranteed that rescheduling will be possible, feasible or fair to either/both of us. If this is the case then we have a third option - transfer the ticket
3. Transfer to a friend/family
Tickets may be transferred to another person without additional cost to you or the new ticket holder. No fees or additional costs may be added by you or another party to that ticket transfer.
The new ticket holder person must be identified to me by email, phone call, or in person. There is no time limit on when an exchange may happen.
All the same conditions and criteria from the ticket apply to the new ticket holder.
